proscrypta :: genesis marks the birth of a new front of curatorial experimentation by deCurators, within the realm of cryptoart. For this first drop — hybrid, collective, and cooperative — we propose an onboarding process, a cryptocommunist contract, and presence both online and in person.

Inspired by the prolific history of hicetnunc and its roots in Brasília, we curated 12 artists from the capital city, spanning different generations, languages, and poetics. The goal: to map the diverse ways in which artists from the Cerrado inhabit the margins (and the center) of the intersection between art and technology. The collection spans video art, gifs, performance, installation, code, sound, and virtual reality painting — media that are, at once, both language and message, expressing the plurality of the tools that shape us and become poetic matter.

Embracing the collaborative nature of the Tezos community, we bring together crypto-native artists and those transitioning into this new ecosystem, fostering exchanges between experiences and perspectives.

From the art4artists breadfond project emerges the cryptocommunist contract: an automated, customized blockchain tool that ensures equal distribution of the funds generated by this drop. This model will remain alive in future proscrypta releases.
